Twitter Updates for 2008-11-29

  • is having a nice, mostly-quiet day at the office. Wish I was out shopping! (Not.) #
  • Who remembers “Blah blah blah… not.” from the late 80s/early 90s? #
  • For example, “Rocky V is my favorite movie, EVER… not.” Incidentally, though Rocky V came out in 1990, I only learned about it yesterday. #
  • On a technical note, regarding “MVC”, where does JavaScript fit in? #
  • For “Thanksgiving”, I went all out & made (spelt) pancakes for breakfast, then proceeded w/ doing, effectively, nothing for most of the day. #
  • “Nothing” consisted of things like playing guitar and petting the cat. #
  • is going to get back to work now. #

  • finally learned to hula hoop at a (semi-crashed) wedding reception two weeks ago. #
  • took hula skillz to the “next level” at a party last night (no drinking involved, FYI). #
  • The key to successful hula hooping lies in steady side to side or back and forth motion, not a circular motion. #
  • has learned that Krunk can be spelled with a C or a K. Who knew? #

  • Pearl Izumi Cyclone full-fingered gloves get two thumbs up (from me, as of yesterday). #
  • It’s a mystery to me why more cyclists don’t ride with a rear view mirror. Maybe they don’t know about them? #
  • I can barely ride without a rear view mirror any more. I feel that it’s more a necessity than a helmet. #
  • Don’t get me wrong, though–helmets, while not a magical shield, are, IMO, essential. #
  • It’s just that a mirror is used very often and is an effective tool of prevention. Hopefully, that helmet never gets used. #
  • I can recommend the “Take a Look” mirror for eyeglasses. Don’t get the plastic one that’s similar. It WILL break. #
